Gryphon Nesting sites

They Gryphon is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle was the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. Griffins are normally known for guarding treasure.
[1] In antiquity it was a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine.
[2] Most contemporary illustrations give a griffin legs like an eagle's with talons, although in some older illustrations it has a lion's forelimbs; it generally has a lion's hindquarters. Its eagle's head is conventionally given prominent ears; these are sometimes described as the lion's ears, but are often elongated (more like a horse's), and are sometimes feathered.
Due to it's nature the Gryphon will only be given to the most divine RPers. However it will be completely anonymous. Please check back often to see if there are any available. To claim one please sign out and post the best post you can possibly post (there will be a deadline for posts) and since you logged out the admins will have no idea who you are, be sure not to use your characters name in the post, we want this to be completely fair. If you already have a dragon that is fine, we will put him up for adoption or he will move on to another home. Dragons understand their place in this land....they understand the power that Gryphon's hold, so they are not judgmental to their owners if they are chosen to be a rider of a magestic Gryphon.

The Gryphons reside in the mountains, on high steep ridges where no one can get to them, only the bravest souls attempt to climb up here, once here they must have a natural bond, the gryphon young will chose it's rider, not he other way around.

Alright everyone....that's right, i'm opening up the Gryphon page. These creatures are very temperamental so keep that in mind. I will be releasing only two Gryphons. So only two riders will receive them. Please read above for the description of the creatures, we will give a more detailed post as the Gryphon introduces himself/herself to the rider. Remember that the nesting grounds are WAY up in the mountains, your bonded can not come, for this will be a very special moment, your bonded will probably be jealous. If you do not have a bonded no need to worry, if you do, if you are one of the lucky few to get a gryphon, your dragon will become an adoptable in the adoptable section. This will be a touchy moment between you and your dragon, be prepared.

Now for some Rules: These are IMPORTANT. you fail to follow them you may risk losing your chance to get a Gryphon

~Post as a guest...log out and post (I DO NOT want to know who you are. this will be completely anonymous)
~do not use your characters layout if you have one
~do not use your characters name. he/she is fine.

~Be unique, it can be as long as you want. Post the story of your character's trip up the treacherous mountains, already being there and thinking, dreaming, whatever you want.

~Have the post posted by April 2nd before midnight. Gryphons will be assigned by April 5th.

Judging will be done by me, Anij, and a friend of mine not affiliated with the site to make it fair. The posts that best appeal to us will be the one to get the Gryphon. If you are inactive for more than a month, your Gryphon will leave you. I as the Admin will then be permitted to make the choice of giving it to another worthy member, or releasing that Gryphon back to the wild.

Gryphon bonds are unique. They can hear each others thoughts from GREAT distances. They can feel each others feelings and they share their moods. Basically a Gryphon is the character in animal form, hence why they are so unique. If you have an angry character the Gryphon will be aggressive by nature...and so on. Keep that in mind when you are posting, you don't want to get a Gryphon that is opposite you in character.
